Our Team

The team at Fortify Network Solutions has spent almost two decades serving customers across Canada. We’ve designed, deployed and supported thousands of networks for small and large businesses. A commitment to investing in our skills through education and updating our certifications is a key factor in our company’s ongoing success. Our team of sales and network professionals hold certifications with Microsoft, Citrix and CA, just to name a few.

Every member of our team has a long history of working in the technology world and understands the importance of a properly operating network and its impact on your business – when it’s working and when it’s not. We know what it takes to ensure all your technology works the way you expect. We truly are professionals at what we do.

Jacques Fortin (President, Fortify Network Solutions) and Ian Barrett (Account Executive, Fortify Network Solutions) utilize their industry experience to help business leaders make the right technology decisions. Their understanding of the small and medium business market provides them with the knowledge to create, recommend and implement the appropriate solution for any company. With each of them having over 20 years experience, Jacques and Ian are at the forefront of identifying what truly adds value to business and are committed to engaging success with their clients, their team, and their communities.

Our Infrastructure

At Fortify we practice what we preach. Our internal systems are fully configured to ensure we can offer the best and most reliable services to our clients.

  • Call Logging System: This system provides a secure, centralized location for clients’ network configuration and technical support call logs. Email notification of call status (open and closed) is sent to you. Call escalations are automatically emailed to senior staff when a priority call is opened to ensure we know what resources are needed to address client issues.
  • Helpdesk Protocol: We have dedicated Helpdesk staff available for immediate assistance during business hours in support of our service level commitment to our clients. Our call logging system provides a centralized location for all Helpdesk contact, so the status and details of your call are automatically available to all team members.
  • Web-based Remote Access Tools: Our team can connect to client workstations or servers directly, without the time delay or additional costs of un-scheduled on-site visits.
  • Documented Workflows: We have implemented an ISO strategy when we document our internal processes and procedures. This promotes a consistent and effective approach to how we deal with your technology.
  • Internal Controls: The strong internal controls we have in place ensures the reliability of financial reporting, timely feedback on the achievement of operational or strategic goals, and compliance with laws and regulations. They are a reflection of our commitment to integrity in our dealings with our clients, our community and our business partners.

Our History

We consider ourselves a new-old company. We began as Keal Computer Services Inc., where our focus was helping clients with their network technology. In 2000, when Keal acquired the broker division from CGI, Keal established Software Development, Application Support and Network Services departments. During our time as part of Keal we gained experience in many facets of technology support and implemented a hosted services environment. In 2006, Jacques Fortin and his team of network professionals left Keal to form a dedicated network support company, creating Fortify Network Solutions. Since that time we have continued to grow and expand into new areas of business technology, network infrastructure, consulting and support.




Our Community

In addition to our professional commitments to our clients, we like to give back to our community. On a local level, our staff participate in a variety of activities including charitable, coaching and community events. We also support our clients in their endeavours through golf tournaments, donations and sponsorships.
